Ooty Events

Ooty is a city rich in its surroundings and environment, with beautiful hills and a delightful breeze carrying the scents of the fresh flowers – and not to mention, fresh tea. The Tea and Tourism Festival is held annually in January and is of the utmost importance. This event includes tourists and locals visiting local tea estates and being welcomes with a lesson in tea making, as well as being offered sample testing the delectable flavours. Moving into the warmer weather, the Summer Festival in May is also a great time of appreciation for the natural beauty of Ooty, attracting plentiful visitors from all over. The Summer Festival features fun activities such as boat races, dog shows, fashion shows, and the highlighted cultural performances. The Flower Show, held during the Summer Festival, is known to steal the spotlight with its rare collection of exotic flowers, enticing all who come to visit.
